Governance

The governing instrument of the charity is an Ordinance of His Grace the Archbishop of Canterbury dated the 18th of November 1992 and supplemental Ordinances dated the 17th of November 1996 and the 26th of September 2011 respectively. The Hospital is registered as a charity under number 213319.
The principal objects of the charity are: —

• To maintain the fabric of the Hospital buildings
• To provide Almshouse accommodation in the Hospital for as many residents and under such terms as the council of management considers appropriate
• To maintain an educational fund to be used at the discretion of the council of management
• To further Christian education in the Canterbury area
