PRESS RELEASE – 24th February 2020

The 6th UK International Radio Drama Festival is taking place at the Eastbridge Hospital – www.eastbridgehospital.org.uk – in Canterbury, Kent 23-27 March 2020.
This year’s them is – FOR ALL BENEATH THE MOON.
There are three Prizes to be won, and we have had over 70 entries from countries all around the world, submitted in any and every language. It remains FREE for submissions and is open to all to participate in our collective listening sessions.
The Festival has grown from year to year and now attracts national Press (The Spectator/BBC) as well as the support from local Universities. We also have a number of associated events. In 2019 the doyenne of radio drama critics, Gillian Reynolds, led a Q&A at Waterstones, Canterbury. In 2020 we will be focussing on Podcasting.
It’s our ambition to make the Festival a signature event – the Hay-on-Wye of radio drama festivals, with a unique outward looking remit. We believe this could make a valuable asset to Canterbury, an annual event that the town can really support.
